Here
at Dean’s you can be certain that you will receive the highest level of
quality for your service and repair dollar. Our shop is the first and only
“AAA approved” independent transmission repair facility in
Darke County.
Our transmission specialist, Terry Pitman, a
former fourteen-year dealership technician, is also an ASE and
GM certified master technician. He is a quality driven person and has
earned numerous awards for his dedication and commitment to service
excellence. A great deal of pride and craftsmanship goes into his work. He
knows and understands the functions of automatic and manual transmissions
and transaxles, not just how the parts fit together. He also knows that a
key part of a successful repair is a thorough & proper diagnosis of the
concern. He bases his diagnostic technique on analyzing all of the
systems of the vehicle’s powertrain and what part their function plays in
the proper operation of the transmission. That way you don’t get a
transmission overhaul if all you really needed was a thermostat or just a
solenoid. That is why an accurate diagnosis is such an important part
of the job. (A solenoid is an electrical mechanical device that
the on-board computer uses to control certain functions of the
transmission such as shifting and internal fluid pressure regulation).
Terry also uses state of the art diagnostic equipment and information. It
is through this diagnosis that he can accurately determine what is
required to address the concern and correct the problem. It is also
important to have your vehicle checked out as soon as you notice that you
may have a problem with the transmission. That way if it is a minor
problem you can prevent it from becoming a major one. Often times if there
is a solenoid failure and it is repaired early enough you can avoid
further damage to the transmission and the need for a major overhaul. But
if you do need a transmission overhaul, don’t worry because Terry only
uses the highest quality replacement parts and he also has the best
reputation in the area.
After the diagnosis is completed the customer
is called with our recommendation and an explanation of the cause of the
concern and what corrective procedure needs to be performed. Also at that
time an estimate of the cost of the service or repair needed is given and
any questions that the customer may have are addressed.
